I also wish I knew how to force davinci to use all 24 threads and GPU if possible to speed up render. A 15 minute render in resolve is like 4 hours with avidemux or something crazy. Why is it that I could plug this source file into Avidemux or Handbrake change the resolution and then render and it would come out exactly like I want, but Resolve can not do this? I like resolve I do but I can't even downscale resolution without glitches in the video? Resolve renders it so fast to, its like the best I have ever seen. Then the video will just go back to normal and it will happen at later parts. The new timeline was left at default besides changing to source file resolution.Ĩ5% of the video comes out accurately only bits and pieces of it are glitchy frame skipping. The output resolution is set to H.265 4096X2048 60FPS (same as source) Bitrate is set to automatic. FPS is set to 60 (same as source file) Playback in editor is also set to 60fps. I created the timeline to be the same resolution as the source file. There is not other edits being made it is literally just down scaling the resolution. It should just happen it should just work. I mean I honestly don't think it should be this hard to change 6k to 4k or 4k to 1080p etc. I honestly believe that other software would let me plug in the source file, change the resolution, render it into that resolution and then it would work. I kinda got a feeling getting support is going to be hard. Not sure what I changed but now the CPU will only be using like 7% and GPU is at 100% and 8GB memory is maxed. Before I remember CPU being used heavily as well as GPU. When rendering there is the option Native and AMD. Twitching and glitching and frame skipping. There is other software that does this np, but it takes much longer to encode.ĭavinci does it extremely fast but it doesn't matter if the video will always come out I simply want to downgrade 6k to 4k and have everything else be the same. Is there a way I can import the source file and have Davinci Resolve 16 just keep all the original settings from the source file? I don't care about all this extra stuff and options, atleast not for what I'm doing now. Was aslo displaying the same twitching, which shows it was not just a post export/edit problem only. I also just recently found out that playing the video in the " edit " tab which is inbetween the " cut " and " fusion " tab. I have also tried rendering at 75% and 50% instead of 100 or maximum. Quality: I have tried Automatic, and restricting to source kbps, and I have tried multiple rates just to see if that mattered. The output must be MP4 for the device I'm viewing on and the device From avidemux 2.0.24 and afterward, the packed bitstream is automatically unpacked upon loading. The problem is that divx/xvid hides the frames type by packing them, so the editor cannot deal with that for now. I have exported MP4 in both h.264 and h.265 The editor part of avidemux knows the DTS/PTS order of the frames and feeds the decoder correctly. Has spots that twitch repeatedly other parts are normal and if theĮntire video came out that way I would be happy with the end result. That has been working out just fine but exported rendered video My goal is to take a 6144x3072 and covert it to 4096x2048
